Didymo, (sp) something that is taking over our waterways, AKA "rock-snot", due to it's appearance.

Ah, I see it's only a South Island thing at the moment, we have signs at most river access spots warning about the spread of such... www.biosecurity.govt.nz/didymo

Simply beautiful works Lady P - looking at them its almost like being in a dream - I love art works that transports the viewer into another world.
How long have you been an artist?
What inspires you?
Are you poet as well as an artist?
I'm creative in my own way but I appreciate beautiful works of art.
Leigh ;D

Thank you Leigh I'm just learning ...........I started water colour in May of last year. The painting you have picked is now framed and hanging on my wall ;D I'm inspired by things I love to look at and when I get more proficient I shall start watercolour painting animals. Yes, I have written poetry but nothing complex......... just rhyming doodles really. But I did have the distinction of having one of my works read out to the whole of the Conway Naval College( my brother was a pupil there) when I was 14.

Pene is an awesome artist Leigh, I love it when you post your works here Pene, I am quite sure you will be a hit in this field, and I am the very proud owner of one of your early pieces... He's a charming little fellow O I know an artist down here in the south island who has painted the same variations on his works for over 20 years. PLAIN SONG History:- Plainsong is monophonic, and is in free rather than measured rhythm. Gregorian chant is a variety of plainsong that is named after Pope Gregory I (6th century AD). Though frequently asserted, it is not true that Gregory invented the chant, or that he ordered the suppression of previous chant styles, such as the Ambrosian or Mozarabic, for the chant pre-dated St Gregory himself. Just like a chant his works may appear monophonic but really there are many layers and rich textures to his pieces with time and age I've come to appreciate his work. I also love the following artists; Keith Haring Colin McCahon William Blake Robyn Kahukiwa J.S. Parker P.
