;D Hi Ivyplus, the wine I received from you folk last year, well it was labeled 2006, so I thought it would be to new so I have not touched it. Would it be aged enough now or should I leave it longer??? I think it was plum, from memory. Hello Meandog. I think wine gets better with age. We can't get the wine old at our place. We regularely have to test it! If you feel like drinking it - just do so! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

;D Might just keep it another month. LOL. ;D The other day I started a elder flower schnapps. If you are interested I would even send you a sample. It will take a month or two before it is ready. I love making schnapps now. The last one was a plum schnapps which I mixed with some plum wine and some dried prunes. It will be like a liqueur.

;D Not sure if I have shown this before. I was unable to buy nice fancy bottles for my liqueurs locally. So I googled and came up with a place in Wellington- Arthur Holmes (Wholesalers) Well I had to buy a carton of them but that was about $70 and they are just what I wanted. There is other shapes and sizes available. This one is 250 mls. ![](http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k276/Meandog_2006/DSC00001-11.jpg)

I think it's certain pitches. Like when my family tries to whisper that I can't hear it I actually can hear it. On the other hand we had a car which made a peeping noise when driven above 100kms. I usually couldn't hear it when the radio was on.

Bought some Turbo Yeast yesterday. Used it with 25 liters of water and 6kg sugar. It is going with an unbelievable speed. Somewhere I read that the yeast produces about 5m3 of carbon for every gallon of alcohol made. Unfortunately I couldn't find this website anymore. So I can't refer to it. I am now wondering if there will be soon a carbon tax on making alcohol. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Or shall I plant a tree for every 25 liters of alcohol I make to compensate the production of carbon?

![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Yes Ivyplus that Turbo yeast really performs. When I first used it in the spare bedroom the smell was overpowering, so I connected a plastic tube to the airlock and piped the gas outside. Much better now. Having cedar window frames it was no big deal to drill a hole large enough to take the tubing. LOL

Hope that Cullen does not lurk in this forum. LOL.

But in winter we need another solution. Do you still make moonshine?

Those goodies I received the other day will tie me over for a wee while. LOL.
