One of my hobbies is looking at other peoples gardens. There are so many good ideas in other people gardens. The next idea I would like to bring in our garden is fitness obstacles. In Switzerland we have free fitness places (mainly in forests). I thought it would be nice to have some of these obstacles in our garden. We can walk through the garden and do some fitness at the same time. I am sure we can integrate these obstacles in the garden that they look like "art". I will publish pictures here as soon as we have done one. But I think it will take a while before this happens. It's not the time of the year to be much in the garden now. BTW here is a link to a site about Vita Parcours (just scroll down). www.zurich.ch/site/en/zurich/sponsor/sportsp.html

White Housewith lettuces and leek StrawberriesI grow the strawberries in the wooden raised bed and in two old bath tubs. I can hook up the hose and it waters them. Rasperries with 5 grape wines We have a large cover and use it in summer to keep the birds off. Today I mulched them. A watering system keeps them moist in dry summers. Again some lettuces and leek. These lettuces are called lambs ear or corn salad. It a very good winter salad and tolerates frosts. Lettuce GardenIn this garden grow different plants which can be eaten as salad. At the moments its mainly miners lettuces. Green HouseSome more lettuces and leek. It seems I only grow that. Garlic PatchThese are the Chinese garlic I grow and I am very impressed how good they grow. Silver BeetI grow heaps of silver beet mainly for the chickens and the cow. There are some carrots as well. Artichokes

Thanks for that Certigy. I love gardening and I think it is genetic. My grandmother was the best gardener I ever knew. She grew potatoes even in sand! My aim is to be selfsufficient in as many things as we can. I remember the first thing was "Italian herbs".
