I was visiting Ladeda the other day, when we noticed that one of a family of ten ducklings was struggling to keep up with rest of them, as it had a damaged leg... ![](http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b232/oasisnz/duckie234.jpg) It was very hungry and I doubt it would have survived another night in the wild. Getting some physiotherapy in the pond... ![](http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b232/oasisnz/duckinpond.jpg) Well today I'm happy to say that it is now able to stand on it's bung leg, so Hoppy is now just limpy Standing proud... ![](http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b232/oasisnz/standingtall.jpg) Taking a break in the sun ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) QUACK

I forgot what a group of ducks was called, and found this interesting website... Collective Nouns for Birds palomaraudubon.org/collective.htmlInteresting, you can have a brace, flock, flush, paddling, raft, and team of ducks... QUACK ;D

A paddling of ducklings circled the clutch of caravans. ;D
She has a flash house! Do you have a soft toy (surrogate mother) for Hoppy to cuddle up to at night? ;D

There was a Mother duck and four wee ducklings in the giraffe paddock today......... they were sooooooo closed to getting flattened!!! We often find trampled babes in the hippo and rhino yards ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Nothing cuter than ducklings ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

D found a lost duckie this morning so I got a cuddle... D tried to give it back to the wrong MotherDuck who then tried to kill it, but off it went down the river to join up with his raft of ducklings. ![](http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~brook.duck/LostDuckie2.jpg) ![](http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~brook.duck/LostDuckie1.jpg)
