Karma is a number that can go up or down based on whether someone exalts you or smites you.
Karma can only be given once per hour, ie. you can either smite someone or exalt someone once per hour.
Play with the function any way you will, there are no prizes or penalties for anyone achieving any particular number of karmas.

Hi there 5crazycats - Karma is basically when someone comes up with a great idea or does something nice to someone else, we throw them an exalt, if someone is rude or for whatever reason we can smite a person. Just gives an individual a bit of feedback on how people are receiving your posts.
Mpg1 leads with the exalts right now and Mr. T (Tormore) leads with the smites I believe. Haha. It's all in good fun tho!

So if I wanted too, I could go through and exalt everyone once an hour, or smite thee once an hour?

So if I wanted too, I could go through and exalt everyone once an hour, or smite thee once an hour? Not quite, if I understand your wording correctly. You have a limit of one karma use per hour be it an exalt or a smite.

So could I give you 1 exalt, then in an hour give you another exalt? Or can I only give a person a votie thing once?

So could I give you 1 exalt, then in an hour give you another exalt? Hi Agl, yeah, that's how it works. I was trying to get Tormore to -10 at which point O was going to ban him for a day, but there were too many bleading hearts undoing allmy good work,so I have up. *cough*bastids*cough*

How did YOU end up with 66? Tormore was doing the opposite! ;D Plus mpg was every helpful when we first went live, so he copped a few from me too, all very well deserved. It was an interesting tug-of-war, tormore sat at -9 for quite some time there once, but I reckon MPG didn't quite have the heart to push him over the limit, I did plan to carry through on my threat... Personally I only use the feature in a positive way, and I think most of us practically ignore it now anyway, we're not really a back-slapping bunch!

Sounds very biblical, smiting and exalting folk. So in other words you are at the mercy of people, whether they're in a good mood or not? Or are they obligated to use this option fairly?
