Sounds like some of you are copping some pretty mean weather out there, I hope everyone is OK, we seem to be very lucky in Nelson here, something to do with being tucked away in that V at the top of the South, I guess... I reckon our time will come, Earthquake most likely.

FURTHER HEAVY RAIN FOR THE FAR NORTH OVERNIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING
MetService is expecting some further heavy thundery rain overnight and Thursday morning from the Bay of Islands northwards.
A low is moving slowly eastwards to the north of New Zealand, and its associated frontal band has moved onto northern Northland. The front is expected to remain slow moving there through the night and into Thursday morning, before starting to weaken.
Between 9pm Wednesday and noon Thursday 40 to 60mm of rain is expected in some places. Intensities in some eastern areas could reach as high as 30mm per hour in thunderstorms.

TARANAKI TO MANAWATU AS FAR SOUTH AS ABOUT OTAKI INCLUDING WANGANUI Westerly winds are expected to rise to gale early Sunday morning. In the 6 to 12 hours from midnight to late morning Sunday, winds may gust to 120 km/h at times. Strongest winds will be before dawn on Sunday.
HAWKES BAY AND WAIRARAPA FROM HASTINGS TO MASTERTON Westerlies rising to severe gale early Sunday morning with gusts above 110 km/h until late afternoon or early evening, and peaking at around 140 km/h during the morning.
