Avocado Ice Cream2 avocados 1/2 cup sugar (brown sugar) 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice 2 cups cream Peel and pit the avocados. Add the avocados, lemon juice, cream, and sugar to a blender and puree. Method without ice cream maker: Place the mixture into the freezer. Stir the ice cream every hour with a fork. It will take approximately 6 hours to set. Method with ice cream maker: Put the mixture into the ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's directions. For soft ice cream, serve immediately. If desired, place in freezer for 3 to 4 hours for firmer texture. This ice cream can be easily made without an ice cream maker. It has a very smooth texture and tastes excellent. It doesn’t form ice crystals like other ice creams.

I think I have worked out how to use the icecream maker, with the yoghurt one it just goes straight into the machine doesn't it, but if you are using recipes where you have to melt chocolate, or heat ingredients up you have to let them all cool first before putting in the machine? Have you got time to put a plain ice cream recipe up for me

Have you got time to put a plain ice cream recipe up for me Yes you are right. Just put the cooler into the machine and add the cool yoghurt into it. Turn it on and that's it. Here is a reasonal recipe. It's the time for cheap melons. You can do half of the amount. Melon Sorbet1 rock melon 1kg 1/3 cup icing sugar juice of 1 small lemon 1 egg white Discard the seeds of the melon and scoop the flesh into a foodprocessor with the icing sugar and the lemon juice. Work to a puree and poor into the icecream machine till it turns to sorbet.
