My turtle quacks (HONESTLY). We have two ducks who come and knock on our front door when they require some bread. Sometimes we have our turtles out wandering in the conservatory and they have a face to face confrontation with the ducks. (I believe it's just friendly bantar myself)
Well one day ... lo and behold my biggest turtle turns around and quacks at me!!! But the question remains as to whether he echoed ... I'm not sure he did.

Many years ago (gawd I do feel old) some friends of my parents had a bit of a drive around Port Waikato. (For ones that are unfamiliar it is near the Waikato Heads where the Waikato river meets the sea.) They found a baby black swan, but instead of leaving it in its own environment they decided to bring it back to the city to my parents place and leave it there. Well we fed it and it became quite a character with its little antics. In the end we took it to the Auckland Zoo and we all got a free day on the Zoo. It was a big thrill for me as I was just a little fella then.

If you find time it would be nice to write such things down for them. I think those scrap book photo albums are a good idea because often little memories like yours are written with the photos.
