Ivyplus found this little chick on the nest on it's own, fresh out of the egg... Day 1... Day 2... Found again on it's own shivering, just put it under a lamp... If you don't see anymore updates it didn't pull through...

There is almost 4 days between the oldest and this one, so they are too fast for it, and it gets left behind all the time. Nature can be cruel.

Seems OK thus far, chirping loudly and keen to get out and about, will try and put it with mum again when she roosts tonight...

Good spotting meandog, He was taken back in, but another one of this pair of bantams chooks turned up dead the next day I think that makes about four that have died from this lot of about eight, perhaps they are only capable of two each, but we'll give them the benefit of the doubt being their first time around, they are soooooo cute with their little pom-pom hats, LOL! Some chooks, (and ducks) are just NOT good mothers...
