certainly as it applies to Tauranga. Could that be because we are so close to the Coromandel or do they simply not have the ability to get it more accurate?

I can't work out why they give a forecast for Auckland, then Hamilton. I feel it would be more in line to be Whangarei,Auckland then Taupo. Hamilton and Auckland are not that far apart.

Have you guys heard of Ken Ring who predicts the weather by the moon phases and such? www.predictweather.comIn my opinion, the weather is a very inexact science and you could almost make up random computer generated forecasts and be as accurate as the forecasts we get, Nelson will often be tagged for showers that never come, other times it can piss down in Nelson, and we don't get a drop out our way, and vice versa.
