Was for heavy rain and thunderstorms today
Turns out it was just a continuation of the long dry spell we've been having for weeks
They have a high level of expertise our forecasters lol

Any luck yet Aztec?
We've had some significant falls here the last couple of days, things are greening up nicely, in fact will even cut some hay of parts of the lawn that got some irrigation from the gardens on it...

Yep, for us the drought is over but more rain would still be welcome.
We went out and stood in it a few times just to be sure we weren't dreaming

I take it all back.
Raining cats and dogs here right now, in fact it's the heaviest since the big flood about 3 years ago

Bleed them right away ivy.. Fillet it, then cut out the red meat on the fillet.. It has a very strong taste, not too good..
Cover the fillet in flour and cook in a pan with butter in it..
Or just plain old egg and breadcrumbs.. Then fry in oil..

That sounds good Snooka. I never tried Kahawai but I love fish. BigO invited me last Sunday to a meal out. We had fish and it was soooo good.

Make the most of it Snooka because it's about to go bad big time tomorrow Yup I know.. And tomorrow is my last day here till next month.. I lost a big Kahawai today.. Inexperience at wharf fishing me thinks.. Tried to lift it with the rod onto the wharf.. Fish hit the wharf at the same time the line did, and the line snapped.. Should have put the rod down and grabbed the line for the last couple of metres.. Fish was at least 3.5 kg.. I am used to fishing in the surf..
