I started working on a coded solution where I could submit the intitial numbers and the script would work out the solution but ran out of time. Will hollah back when am able to take another look at it and have it sorted. I gather it could be a rather messy looping affair that takes a while to run.

I GIVE UP!!!!! This is what I have so far ... Where did I go wrong? ?? I couldn't resist to do this one. Here is what I have in my lines: 2 7 9 3 1 6 8 5 4 3 8 5 2 7 4 6 1 9 1 4 6 8 5 9 2 3 7 7 2 4 5 9 1 3 8 6 9 3 8 7 6 2 1 4 5 6 5 1 4 3 8 9 7 2 5 9 2 1 8 7 4 6 3 8 6 3 9 4 5 7 2 1 4 1 7 6 2 3 5 9 8 I guess everyone fills in Sudukos in their own way. For me it works best when I find all the possible numbers and fill them in (very small) and I rub them out and write the big number when I have found the right one.

Thanks for trying dalbyj! One can never pin point where one went wrong, the mistake often doesn't become obvious till you get to just the last few numbers... Try this one if you want and I will load another one competition one on Tuesday night...

Looking forward to the MPG sudoku cracker, the ultimate gift for the extremely lazy sudoku puzzler, lol! Unfortunately, it didn't rain this w/end. Do I get any prize for solving my sudoku puzzle, other than bragging rights? Oh, and noice karma there, O. My great grandpappy used to say: if we are not teetering on the edge, then we are taking up too much room
