[glow=red,2,300]Trivia Rules[/glow]
I will try to post quiz questions every day. The following rules apply:
1. Exact spelling is not required unless stated or implied otherwise in the question.
2. Each person is only allowed one answer to each question.
3. Each quiz question is 'open' until answered.
4. Cheating is prohibited. Either you know the answer (or have a good guess at it) or you don't. Cheating can be defined as:
* Looking up the answer on the internet and not stating it
1 point for the first correct answer without the help of the internet
1/2 point for the first correct answer with the help of the internet (indicate when you answer)
5. You are on your honour when answering. I won't know if you are cheating (as far as you know...), but you will, and since there's a prize involved you will have to suffer your own guilt to the grave. Depressing thought, isn't it? I refuse to be held in any way responsible for guilty consciences other than my own (if only I hadn't pulled my sister's pigtail when we were little...).
6. The first contestant to reach 20 points will get a gift of some sort, which will likely (but not necessarily) be something made out of cocoa beans.
7. Once somebody reaches 20 points, the whole contest will restart at zero (emphasis added for dramatic effect).
8. The decisions of the judging committee are final. I am not the judging committee, though I am on it. All decisions are by simple majority of the members.
9. The rules may be modified or clarified at any time.
10. Points are not transferable. Void where prohibited. Not intended for internal use. No tipping required. Not for use by children under the age of 3. Please, no wagering.
all clear as pea-soup?
