You can make wine out of any plant so long as its not poisonous. Gorse flowers was a favourite as well as rose hip or rose petal, but you do need an aweful lot of blooms for the latter. If you like drinking tea the leftovers make a great wine, meaning the tea not the old discarded leaves. Sometimes I put a teabag into the must to give it a bit of tannin. I love wine making. At the moment I have a pine needle wine going. I don't know yet how it turns out because I couldn't find any recipe so I mixed it up myself.

The resin may be a bit over powering, but hey its worth a try. I often wondered about what we were talking about earlier Teatree?

Yep thats the one, there is heaps of varieties. I was at the botanical gardens in Manurewa Auck. once and when no one was looking I snipped some seed pods off a lemon scented one. They grew and like a fool I gave all the plants away without keeping one for myself. Don't know whether I can be bothered going back for some more.

The resin may be a bit over powering, but hey its worth a try. I often wondered about what we were talking about earlier Teatree? A few weeks ago I planted some tea trees (camellia sinensis). I bought them from my gardening teacher. He said they are (light) frost accepting. And its a tree which could be trimmed to a shape. He said he wants to grow one and grow it in the shape of a tea cup or tea pot. He said: To make black tea the leaves have to be kind of "composted" otherwise it is green tea.

Teatree has the botanical name Leptospermum. There is L. rotundifolium, L. scoparium, and others but I can't think at the mo. I think the common name was given to this due to Captain Cook making tea and beer for his crew to fight scurvy. (I must have taken some notice when at school) LMAO

Hi all .. I would love to know if anyone has a natural insect repellant idea!
Mosquitoes and sandflies seem to think my blood is the nectar of the gods, and whenever I step foot outside I get eaten alive.
But I hate using the chemical repellants! Is there a natural one available? Please help!

Haha! I remember my ex going to a quack (thats about all he was) because of this problem. It cost her to be told she had an allergy and to keep away from mosquitoes. LMAO

Just as a matter of interest, I have had bad arms through tearing muscles and doing unrepairable damage. Well I gave that Anti Flamme (which is advertised on TV) a go and although it will not cure my complaint it definitely is giving me some relief. So just thought that was worth passing on. Its damned expensive stuff.

Will he drink peppermint tea? I find when I'm having trouble with heartburn that if I have a cup of peppermint tea after a meal it isn't so bad. You can have it hot or cold, it tastes nice either way.

Men need sometimes encouragement. They take it when you put it in front of them. But if you ask them: Do you want a tea? they will say no! ;D ;D Cheers
