;D I purchased one of these new stainless steel electric fry pans. Well I was getting most peeved off with roast spuds etc. sticking to the surface regardless of the amount of oil I used.
So the other day I came up with a wee brain wave, I cut a piece of baking paper to lay in the fry pan then put some oil in. I left the paper in there through the cooking process and everything cooked beautifully and no more problem with sticking.

The beauty of that method is that you can cut down on the oil you use too MD......... lemonade scones made in the frypan on baking paper are a treat too

I bought a sheet for the BBQ that was like baking paper but different. It's actually made of glass but looks like a black plastic placemat. Put on the old BBQ plate and everything is instantly non-stick. Afterwards, wash it with the dishes and pop back onto the BBQ. Makes the BBQ easier to clean too! $24 from our local "BBQ Factory" and you cut it to fit your BBQ plate.

Instead of butter, use polyunsaturated oil(sunflower, soya, canolla, etc) in your muffins. They won't dry out.

Missy just chucks water in the pan after cooking, simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on, rinse, then in the dishwasher wiv it. Oh, and she reckons the big SS frypan is awesome.

Yeah, that's how I do it too Macca, for really bad baked on stuff, add a bit of dishwash liquid too.
Good tips, I saw the bbq sheet in action on the weekend, damn good idea that one, no more cleaning the barbie!
