We have decided to simply kick this off and see how it develops.
It's a totally free service, so please can we just try and help each other out with ideas about how we could make this work.
It's not a place to put links back to your auctions at other websites, I hope you all feel that is fair enough.
Looking forward to your input!

May need to do some explaining as to how the search function etc works, but I just thought we'd jump in boots and all without being too pedantic about it at this stage.
Hope to hear some good constructive criticism, we will be listening to ALL your thoughts and ideas.

Well I guess here is as good a place as any to announce that our family will be shifting from Hamilton to Christchurch within the next two years, hopefully within one year if we can save fast enough.
We will be selling off most of our furniture etc, most of it is pretty old and cruddy but servicable. I'm more than happy to give the YOP family first go at it! As we get closer to our shift I will list what we are selling, but if anyone is after anything right now, let me know.

It's good to have enough time to plan and execute the things you have to do.

So true ivyplus ... we did the big shift from Chch to Hamilton just over 2 years ago ... but didn't give ourselves very much time to plan for it, so we were very stressed out! This time we are much more organised and hopefully this shift will be as stress free as possible.

Maybe you even find the way to Nelson one day!

"trading related". As in a place to discuss online auction stuff or issues with other trading sites? I note I can't start a new thread in this section - is the section open to the public, or just this thread in this section?

Good afternoon!!! Whoever thought this up has a few brain cells! Let's enjoy it ... it gives it a different aspect to this site altogether doesn't it? If you guys get stuck just email us and we will help you out.

Just a little note I wish to add here: Remember guys that families read this board, so anything you wish to sell is not 'G' or 'PG' rated, can you say so in the heading ... just so we can either choose or not choose to enter that particular thread. Thanks. PS: I am sure we don't have to state that pornography or the like will not be acceptable here. Enjoy this section! xxx

Thanks Manukarose, yes, we would like people to respect that this IS a family show and emphasize that "adult" type material will not be allowed here.

I note I can't start a new thread in this section - is the section open to the public, or just this thread in this section? The section is now open to start new threads, and is readable to the public. The subtitle for the section reads... "A place to talk about how we can make this work." We'd rather the "issues with other trading sites" were left out please, otherwise go ahead and discuss what ever you like, you know I'll move it to the whinge section quick enough if people start whinging, LOL

A trading site is a Trading site... An MB is an MB... Never the t'wain should meet... Thanks for your opinion, but I'm a little confused, ever heard of trademe, New Zealands largest online trading site? ;D You might also care to know that many online business's also have MB's attached to their trading sites. Feel free to elaborate a little, or a lot...
