Is it illegal? Is it against the terms of sale of the ticket? Specifically, the red hot chilli peppers concert ticket listings have been withdrawn, whilst other ticket listings remain. Is there something these ticket sales have that others do not which warrants TM removing the listings?
*edit- have I posted this in the wrong place? Can I even post this here? Sorry if I can't.*

I heard through the grapevine that the Chilli tickets were withdrawn because you must have the item in your possession, and no one actually has a ticket yet. The possession rule is silly if you ask me, but I really don't like scalpers!

scalping is market forces in raw form. I love it for that.
I know of a few people who, in full knowledge of and tacit acceptance by TM sell stuff that's not in their possesion. Not even their own stuff. There are traders drop shipping from China. There are those selling on behlaf of others. What a load of bullshit to only pick something they know the public can obviously see breaks their rules and leave the others to trade for no otherreason than the public are not so aware of it.

Can't see anything wrong with it myself.
Whats the difference to buying a house, hanging on to it for a while, and selling it for a capital gain?
And as for the pulling of the chillies tickets, how absurd.

You'd have to be stoopid to pay so much extra for a ticket. You'd have to be stoopid to sleep over on the pavement to be first in line to grab a ticket or five. The summary of facts, your honour, is that concert goers are just plain stoopid...

define "extra",O? If it's a supply/demand scenario like RHCP may turn into, and it's heavily demand stacked, the price will rise. The premium paid representing the scarcity of the item, the utility it represents to the market participants, etc, etc.

The premium paid representing the scarcity of the item, the utility it represents to the market participants, etc, etc. I can't define the value. I think if people are clever or stoopid enough to try and obtain extra tickets, (there are genuine "scalpers" out there, that play a very risky market), then there are those that buy four tickets when they get the chance, and their three mates do the same thing, cause they are soooo stoopid and really don't want to miss the concert... And then there is an excess. Some are "genuine" sellers, that simply doubled up, and others are "scalpers"... At then end of the day it's what people are prepared to pay as they are too lazy/rich/stoopid to obtain a ticket in the first place! Did that make sense, or would it be better to sum up in one word? For. ;D

Now very crook in hospital. This happened at 3-35 am this morning.

Not all ticket sales are scalping...... Sometimes the idiocy is the buyers fault.
Recently my daughter listed her 2 Wellington Sevens tickets as a funeral prevented her attending. She listed the BUY NOW as the ticket and booking price and being a bit of a noob at TM she listed the start reserve at the same price.
The first person pressed the bid button and of course the buy now dissapeared and bidding continued. She ended up with $50 more than she wanted for the tickets.....
And the bidder was not a nOOb so really was stupid esp since it was them that eventually won the bid.
