Is that all you collection? It will be sweet - I bought it to resell each pack individually. I'm not a stamp collector like Snooka or do I have the experience but I enjoy buying and selling them very much. Leigh

I'm actually making up special complimentary/thank you cards for all the clients who purchase my stamps. I'll take a photo of them once they are completed.
At this stage I'm only buying NZ stamps. I may get into coins further on down the track.

For many years I was buying and selling second hand goods as well. It can be heaps of fun. And certain things I had in my house for a while - just for enjoyment.

True - I tend to keep certain things in my home for sometime before selling them - currently I have some lovely vintage toys on display at some stage I will have to part with them but at least I got to appreciate them for a short time. Here are my latest vintage toy purchases. Toy Cash Registerswww.trademe.co.nz/Toys-models/Vintage/photos/a-165068745/p-70170937.htm

They are lovely. I really really like them.
I guess you would love my "doll and toy museum".
Over many years I collected vintage dolls and toys and have them displayed in a small one room cottage. Some toys are from my child hood (1960s).
Old toys are made to last and that's what I like.

I love your toy museum - in fact Ivy - I was wondering I'm wanting to create a special - "I'M DREAMING OF A RETRO CHRISTMAS" theme on trade me, webuy - specialising in tin toys - I would welcome you input as to how much you think my retro toys would be worth. So far I have; 2x tin rockets 2x tin cash registers (1x big 1x small) plus I have my eye on some other tin products. I would welcome your input and experience in pricing these items. There's no rush - I will put them up and you can comment on them. Leigh

One guy at a market in France told me: Every morning a stupid person gets up - you only have to find him. ;D It means you can ask for any amount and there will be someone out there who is willing to pay it. Haven't we seen that with the handbag and Umanga. I personally would start listing early October for Christmas and have a higher reserve. What is not sold you can relist. BigO had once a razor he listed several times and I think about the fourth time it went off and I think he got about 150 for it. Hope you have heaps of success!

I like your tin toys and I am looking forward when you put up the research you have done about them. There are books out there and I guess on the internet you will find infos about them. Stamps are not my thing.

I do most of my research via the net - I enjoy learning about products - I adore New Zealand stamps for the art work - those little stamps captured a time in New Zealand's history, kinda like a snapshot of social commentary of that time - fascinating.
Actually I may create a different section to showcase the research of some of the products that I've purchased to onsell - maybe someone else might be able to add something more what I have found.
Leigh ;D
