FREEGANISMFreegans: A Trash Tour and A Dinner nz.youtube.com/watch?v=6dAOyUimAPQ&NR=1Freeganism is an anti-consumerism lifestyle whereby people employ alternative living strategies based on "limited participation in the conventional economy and minimal consumption of resources. Freegans embrace community, generosity, social concern, freedom, cooperation, and sharing in opposition to a society based on materialism, moral apathy, competition, conformity, and greed. The lifestyle involves salvaging discarded, unspoiled food from supermarket dumpsters that have passed their sell by date, but are still edible and nutritious. They salvage the food not because they are poor or homeless, but as a political statement. How Far Would You Go?www2.oprah.com/tows/slide/200802/20080227/slide_20080227_350_102.jhtml[E]- Freeganism sounds like a perfectly sound way to live as well as looking after the planet - Will make me think twice about what I put in my rubbish.WINSTON PETERSwww.tv3.co.nz/Video/Petersangrilydeniesdonationclaims/tabid/370/articleID/47659/cat/67/Default.aspx#video[E] - This guy cracks me up - I say good on ya winnie.

Elderly Christchurch pensioners may lose homeswww.stuff.co.nz/stuff/thepress/4419685a6009.htmlShock mortgagee sale leaves elderly homelesswww.rugbyheaven.co.nz/4418374a19715.html[E] This case is very sad considering that the guy who owes the money lives in a beautiful home in Fendalton.
These elderly people should live the rest of their lives in peace since they have contributed greatly to our community. BTW Gary Campbell is a low-life and should be ashamed of himself - DO THE RIGHT THING - Mr Fendalton.

thank you for posting that Mr (ahem) Bastard - very sad indeed, that is someone's son, newphew, friend and grand-child. Those disgusting kids who cheered on the fight - They should all be held accountable. People need to be able to vent there grief and frustations B and while others may think - keep it under wraps it certainly highlights the sick "gansta type" mentality which is being fostered among our young these days. I respect your right to post your opinion, hopefully people can show a little tolerance during this time and think about the tragedy and loss of the family. New Zealand has changed so much from when I was a kid - playing bullrush, building huts, spending long hot summers avoiding the concrete because it would burn my feet. I find myself strangely reflective as a result of this post. Leigh Acknowledgement: Mb2

O if you feel this subject is a little too sensitive please feel free to do with it as you wish - I just felt strongly enough to add my contribution. Hopefully this sad experience will make us appreciate our loved ones and maybe to be a little more kinder to each other. Thank you sweet Leigh

Welfare Systemwww.trademe.co.nz/Community/MessageBoard/Messages.aspx?id=25696210&threadid=25696210I wish people would lay of some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Sure there are a number of kiwi's who think the welfare system is a gravy train but when it comes to making people accountable for the money they recieve I suggest that we look at our own politicians first, those idiots get paid a tremendous amount of money for what exactly. Not all people on a benefit want to rip of jo public but definately systems should be put in place to protect the community from people who are not motivated to improve their own personal circumstances. PLEASE NEW ZEALAND...Leave people alone who are: * Sick/Disabled * Elderly * Poor working class kiwis with families. Leigh

I was born in England. I expext to rettain the rights of my home country until I die. I have not yet purchased NZ citizenship. The right to reside in NZ is sufficient for me. If I was stupid enough to become a serial offender, I would expect to be denied the priviledge of living here and told to leave. There are a 600,000 or more Kiwis living overseas, and we as a nation are quick to trumpet those who go on to international success. We even claim fame on behalf of such notable foreigners as Sam Neil, born in Ireland, currently living in Australia, who spent part of his childhood here. If we are compelled to accept the return of one rotten apple as the price to pay for our international right to travel, so be it. We have deported spies to Israel and an associate of the 9/11 terrorists to Saudi Arabia. A couple of our own petty criminals in exchange for filth such as we deport is a fair trade.

A Guilty Lookwww.tv3.co.nz/VideoBrowseAll/60MinutesVideo/tabid/371/Default.aspxAaron Farmer's distinctive facial features had him called a lot of names in his life, but none as bad as 'rapist'. Poor guy - SHAME ON YOU CHRISTCHURCH Police. Thanks for this story, Certigy. I am shocked about the failure of the police and the defense lawyer. I know we need police but how safe are we that we are not draged into something like that by the police?

I say that the people who have the potential to really hurt ma and pa new zealander is someone who wears a suite, sits in an office and is called a politician, lawyer, or work and income case manager (hehehe) DAMN THEM - Damn them all to hades!!! [running to hide behind MD's skirt] because Leigh is afraid that Naki will hunt her down No really - whats wrong with the way the guy looks? I've seen him around Christchurch and he is a perfectly happy chap. I'm glad that police officer who interviewed him got the boot - I'm sick and tired of all these rapists/abusers being recruited into our police force.

Blood Moneywww.3news.co.nz/Video/60Minutes/tabid/371/articleID/68524/cat/46/Default.aspx#videoWhat an utter prick - SHAME ON YOU I totally agree with the previous poster - I am literally shaking my head after watching BLOOD MONEY - SHAME on the justice system it is soooooooo obvious that even a blind man can see the truth. The lawyer - what a joke - he couldn't even look the interviewer in the eye. My thoughts and best wishes are with the family at this time. As for Clinton - must be hard for you to sleep at night my friend, how it must truly blow to be SOMEONE like you.
