I really like her style This one starts kinda negative but ends all good I think...
Light up and lay low
Monday morning, July the first, cigarette breaks outside the door
Fascism pissing from the sky sends contentment soggy to the floor
Who makes up these bloody laws, where was my right to vote
Twenty four hour drinking is ok but we're not allowed to smoke
Light up and lay low all my comrades in addiction
Strike a match for freedom and burn the baton of friction
Inhale the smoke as you stand at bus stops, parks and public places
And if they pass judgment on our habit, let's blow it in their faces
Democracy eroding faster than my lungs
Patience wearing thinner than a politician's words
Nicotine junkies prepare to be publicly hung
Unless you work in the honorable house of lords
Ok, It's lunchtime now and the sun has just come out
A hundred discarded nicotine patches are scattered about
I'm sending desperate smoke signals to the great tobacconist in the sky
Please stop the rain for the rest of the day so I won't break down and cry
The end of the working day has come and I'm feeling quite proud
Only two of those cancer sticks has passed through my burning mouth
And I'm walking home on a summer's day without getting out of breath
Maybe these laws will go some way to prevent my premature death
Anger disappearing faster than a Marlborough light
Smoker's cough will be a memory, I won't miss the morning hack
Yellow stained fingers will begin to fade to natural white
My breath minty fresh again and my taste buds will come back
