Have you ever run one?
Contemplating doing a half before the day I die...
Problem is, the day I try will probably be the day I die, haha!
I suppose it's all about the training, look at Rodney Hyde these days, very sleek, and in full support of outsourcing our prison service to China.

I've done the Fletcher Marathon 4 times. Reputed to be the toughest in New Zealand.
When I started jogging, I couldn't run from one lamp post to the next!!!
If you train properly, only the last 2 k's are tough........... no matter what level of athlete you are.
I used to run 4 half's a week towards the end of my training for a marathon.
I was at my fittest during that period of my life.

Just to inspire you, Oasis ... my mother, who you may remember had a mastectomy at the beginning of the year, ran the Chch SBS marathon on Queens Birthday. If she can do it so soon after a major operation, so can you!
