I'm staying white!! Not going to get a suntan, not going for those fake tanning creams and not going to a salon. I have too many moles to worry about as it is, and every fake tan cream i have tried turns me orange (including the moisturising holiday skin ones) and can't afford/haven't got time for the salon. So I will be happily blinding everyone with my pure white skin!
I was a silly girl when younger and had a couple of bad sunburns, I'm absolutely covered in freckles and moles and frankly quite scared of skin cancer. so I'm buying sunscreen in bulk, making sure I have a large hat and stocking up on light clothing that covers me as much as poss while keeping me cool.

It is something to be very wary of dalby.. I had a small cancer growth burned off my nose 2 months ago.. Just the very mention of the word is kinda scarey..

Not me, I love the sun.....and plan to bathe in it this summer.....Already got a tee-shirt tan, from the nice spring weather we have had so far......plus you get a vitamin from the sun, you can't find in food...vitamin D i think, it boosts your immune system, (maybe helping to fight off cancer cells).....I don't believe everything the so called "experts" tell us. Hell I'm on the wrong side of 30, don't have wrinkles, and have never used sun screen, and don't have skin cancer....Call me stupid, but I know what's good for me........oh and your moles....well I heard on oprah, people with a lot of moles, don't age, the way someone with none do (that's whitey's)

Oh and if there is a god.......why would he make us allegic to the sun? cancer and skin cancer, may just have something to do with the crap we put on and in our bodies.....the skin being our largest organ, everthing we put on it seeps into our bodies, into our internal organs......check out the poison in your shampoo bottle, the chemicals in your toothpaste (the mouth being the most absobent)

I love pale skin - I don't understand why people would want to color there skin - I prefer people to be as white as the moon - simply beautiful.

Yes vitamin D is very important ... but you don't have to get a tan or get burned to receive it. By the way it is found in a few foods, eg: fish such as salmon, tuna, and mackerel and fish liver oils, small amounts of vitamin D are found in beef liver, cheese, and egg yolks. (thanks to google lol!)
It wasn't even 100 years ago that a suntan was considerably un-fashionable ... it was the mark of a manual labourer, someone who worked outside all day for a pittance. Women would go to great lengths to stay white, even using poisonous powder to whiten their skin so as to look pale and interesting.
Then in 1920 Coco Chanel got a suntan while on a cruise ... and then it started, every woman wanted to follow this fashion icon, and since then it hasn't really stopped.
Unfortunately I'm not anywhere near being a fashion icon but maybe the more people who take a stand and stay white, the less skin cancer problems we will have.

oh course, I've been known to be wrong, on the occasion NO!!! Really? ;D ;D BTW I do love the sun too, and I'm not going to make myself into a hermit just to stay white. I guess what I was trying to say was that I'm not going to go out of my way to go golden bronze this year ... and probably for the rest of my life

I think it's very unlikely that Mrs A will be short on Vitamin D. When she's down in the gully she wears an oversize coolie hat which looks hilarious but it does a good job of keeping her protected from the UV during the middle of the day.
I asked if I could post a photo but I was threatened with a horrible fate so you will just have to use your imagination
