How much do you spend on clothing?
Personally, my clothing spending this year would have been lucky to have reached a couple of hundred dollars. Although I do tend to rely on Christmas and Birthday presents to see me through the year, haha!
In my younger years, this would be less than what I would have paid for a couple of pair of Levi Jeans...
Are you a fashion conscious person that needs all the mod cons, or do you think about the starving population of the world that eats rice when they are lucky, whilst the rest of us pay exorbitant prices for the muck?

I try very hard not to think of the starving millions in the world today. I prefer the 'head in the sand' attitude, and keep my list of 'things to worry about' closer to home. In my small little mind, I didn't create the problem, and I sure don't have the funds to mend the problem, so I will just ignore it.
In true raving style, I believe we can thank the 'well meaning' missionaries of the past for creating the worlds over population, and hence the hunger problems. By spreading the 'good' word to other countries and enforcing their living standards and morality on these people, introducing medical aide etc, they ensured the populations grew beyond sustainable levels. So these people used to eat each other, many didn't live past childhood, lived in grass huts, had many wives and ran around naked, eating the wild life. At least some of them lived and weren't hungry all the time. What rights did they have or we have to enforce our ways on their cultures.... but that's a whole different argument.
Regarding clothes, I spend very little on my own clothes, I'm happiest in jeans and a sweater. I do however have a very fashion conscious 5 year old granddaughter who likes to ensure grandma's pocket is emptied when clothes shopping. Bratz and Barbie clothes being the favourites, BUT nothing too grown up.... it's a long way to 30, which is when she will be allowed to date!
