Pauline Elizabeth May Cowie was born in Amman Jordan in 1954 she has spent her early life over seas as her father was in the Royal Air Force. Her last move was in 1968 from Singapore , then on to Australia , Nauru Island and finally ending up in New Zealand in 1974. She is a self-taught artist having dabbled in quite a few different craft and art classes and groups, such as polymer clay, jewelry and pottery with several of her pieces going over seas Having lived in different country’s she has been able to experience different cultures. She is self-taught on the computer and through it she has developed her latest artistic works to date. Pauline has always had a deep connection to Pacific, Aztec, American Indian and Celtic art forms she finds they all come together in her resent works. Her work has deep spiritual connection to mother earth and the universe this helps with the vibrant colour of her works. Pauline currently lives in Christchurch New Zealand; she says that with such a rich mix of cultures and people it has been a privilege and an honor to live in this amazing country of The Long White Cloud, New Zealand.
