Well I say Good on Helen. She will be fantastic for the job. She is a very intelligent person. To hold the third biggest job in the UN is a great achievement, not just for her, personally, but for New Zealand. When you consider our small size in comparision to the to rest of the world.
She has the strength and the ability to do the job justice, and all Kiwi's should be proud of her. Despite all the knocking of her in the last few years, she has given much to NZ, and devoted her life to the betterment, not just of NZ, but the world. Her beliefs and methods may not always be accepted by others, but her intentions were, and never will be, selfish, and for her own satisfaction.
She deserves this position and I have wished her well, as I'm sure many will. GO HELEN !!!!!!!

Now, regarding your initial comment. Yes Mr Aztec, I have to agree, Labour will need to do some serious searching to find someone with the right skills to fill Helen's place.
Goff is a 'lovely' man, but not a leader of the dynamics necessary to bring Labour back "to it's rightful place". Having said that, I don't believe all is lost. Let's face it, look at National's shocking performance a couple of elections ago, and now they are back ... who knows what is possible in times like these.
I still say, I'd love to establish a super party, with the best politicians from the total pool ... NZ could really rock !!!
