Mostly in tax! The European Overstayers bought and brought with them a few packs of rollies, a 40gm pack is just 5 bucks in Switzerland! Shame the government here can't more carefully appropriate all the dosh they suck out of the smokers in this country. Is it a case of "oh well, let the dumb folk kill themselves whilst we profit from it big-time", or what? Anyway, forget all the political waffle, in my opinion, if you are a smoker, you should get smart and grow your own! I'm convinced that grow your own, organic tobacco, is way less addictive than the chemical pumped junk that you buy from the tobacco companies! Look at this as an opportunity to only suck the stuff you think you are addicted to, the nicotine, then realise how easy it is to wean oneself off pure tobacco. For just $15, postage included, I can send you enough seeds that should all germinate, you'd have enough tobacco to last you a lifetime, several thousand seeds. Here's a pic of some plants that have self seeded in my greenhouse, note the bottom leaves are already picked and hanging to "cure"...

Good one Oasis, but no thanks. After laying on my back in hospital for 3 years I had no option but give up. So there is no way I will touch it again. In fact I have joined the 'yuck' brigade as one does after smoking for so many years and then give up. It then becomes a repulsive habit/smell/anti social. Sorry but I do not like getting to close to a smoker, and the sense of smell, is very sensitive to tobacco after 30 odd years of clogging up the lungs. Just my personal opinion of course. LOL.

Right, last chance to grab some seeds for just $15, I do believe the idiots in control will probably get their way and increase the price of smokes to $100 a packet!
The price of the seeds will slowly climb, in relation to demand, so don't hesitate, start your own crop today!

I respect your right to smoke, Kim........... but I abhor you encouraging others to do so, just for $$$$ Did you just CW my listing? Should that come with a health warning? For those that don't already know, smoking is bad for you. It's not about a few measly dollars Pene, (would it be better or worse if I offered them for free?) the message here is about freedom of choice, and the satisfaction of growing ones own crops. I thought it was clear that I am not encouraging people to smoke, in fact I truly believe that grow-your-own baccy is not as addictive as the commercial stuff. So, if you like to smoke, grow your own. If you don't like to smoke, wait for the government to raise the price to $100 a packet, then try to give up. Your choice... ;D

The backky companies put in salt petre and other nasties in their products. Not that I agree to any type of smoking. Lady over the road from me chain smoked now has terminal lung cancer. It hit her very suddenly so was sent home from the hospital as there was nothing they could do.

Awe shucks, thanks for the lovely sentiments. But, erm, you really should not concern yourself with the things you cannot change, Pene.... ;D I shall bear that in mind I was thinking more about the members of my family that smoke/d and have suffered ill health or early deaths because of it

Could I ask you to do something please? Count how many of the people you know that suffer/ed ill health and early death but didn't smoke... I don't know if it's just me, but I've come across a hell of a lot of people in my life that have suffered ill health and early death without smoking being a factor at all. What I reckon is, you get old, and/or sick, and/or have an accident, and you die. If it's your tar choked lungs that go first, then so be it. Anyway, this is the sell section, not the philosophy section, LOL!

Have you not heard of passive or second hand smoke, they claim that is just as dangerous. Sorry Oasis I was not intending to ruin your sale, just defending my reasons.

Have you not heard of passive or second hand smoke, they claim that is just as dangerous. Sorry Oasis I was not intending to ruin your sale, just defending my reasons. No worries! It's good fun defending ones own reasons... So are you now saying that everyone that gets sick and dies is the result of a smoker ? I wonder how many non-smokers spend hours in traffic everyday, sucking in disgusting fumes from poorly tuned deisel vehicles in this country, something that gives me an asthma attack at the slightest wiff? Let me tell you, you DO NOT see trucks puffing out these disgusting, sulfur ridden, fumes in Switzerland!... The "anit-smoking" bollocks in this country is an industry that is creating billions in revenue and putting bums on seats of bearaucratic tosspots that want to tell YOU what to do, meanwhile the government look good because there is less unemployment. Wish I could find the statistics quickly, but bump this thread again and I'll make sure I do, haha, this government is absolutely thriving on creating jobs where there needn't be any. The increase in number of bums on seats are absolutely staggering, under a Labour driven government.

It's all about choice in the end. We all know about the dangers of smoke ...... passive or otherwise. Smokers always defend their habit. But it's all about either liking it and/or being addicted to it. You only have one vessel to hold your soul........... you should take the best care of it you can. The number of times I have heard people say....... I could get run over by a bus tomorrow Well, I don't know anyone that has been run over by a bus!! I don't know anyone that has deliberately walked in front of a bus either. Sadly I have met many people who suffer/suffered all sorts of ailments as a direct result of smoke. Sadly, not always their choice. There is no need to justify what you do, Kim .............. it's your life. Put my identical twin beside me and she looks like my mother She is a smoker and a drinker.

I saw your statement, "I respect your right to smoke, Kim........... but I abhor you encouraging others to do so, just for $$$$", as a challenge to justify myself. There is no need to justify what you do, Kim .............. it's your life. Thank you, I rest my case!
