Anyway, Dear Mands, I have to go to the hospital for some tests today and tomorrow before my big op soon. I'm particularly concerned about having to hang about in a public place wearing one of those horrible hospital gowns, with my butt hanging out all over the place!! What concerns me most, is that someone might think this is a fashion choice for me, and I want to make sure it is known I don't wear this type of garment unless necessary. Honestly, how does one retain ones pride and dignity when wearing those things. I'm wondering if I keep my hi heels on, whether the outfit will take on an aire of glamour? Or should I just brush my hair over my face, go bare footed and hope that no one recognises my butt? Need your advice urgently. This is an easy peasy solution, while taking the other advice into account, a fail safe solution would be to paint a face on yr butt, or get the nurses too, the poor nurses are sooo overworked they would welcome the chance to have a bit of fun, then people won't know whether to laugh, cry or run away. Let us know if everything is ok, ok? xxx

Dear Mands... It has come to my attention that Suzie Q is currently MIA, last sighting was in a place called Third Life, or some such nonsense, an evil place that seems to be sucking certain MB members away from their true place in the world. My question is, shall we send in a Search and Rescue Team?

Dear Oasis
It is my experience that we are all 'sucked' in or away according to our own free will.
If she calls Search and Rescue we will be there in a mili-second. Until then we shall wait her return - as she knows deep down that quality sites like Yop don't spring up often.
Hope this helps.

Dear Mands ,...I have a problem ,...I see a tendency to call everyone by the same name title, now while everyone else may be fine with it ,.... Im far from happy about it,...not only is my ID my name online it is also a name my whanau address me by and I like it very much, even the shortened version is acceptable ....its unregistered, which is why I chose it for an online Id ,...perhaps the others do not mind, I find it annoying and ,..... I think it's a lazy habit to call evey one by the same title,...Umm Help!!!

Dear Mis aka Misilon, This problem you mention could be akin to colour blindness, while some people no matter how much you tell them, will say that is BLUE, when in fact it may be a shade of green or even grey. Verbally speaking people have the same problem, often they get stuck in termology that isn't always strictly correct, so here is my advise: Whenever anyone says something you dont like or agree with, just keep thinking that the problem is theirs not yours and if it is meant well then take it in the spirit that is given. Colour blindness and verbal confusion only really colours our lives and keeps it from becoming boring and of course contributes to interesting threads such as "Dear Mands". Thanks for your letter and I hope this helps. Mands

The keeper of the stones
That's what I am. Apart from flowers, I often take a dispenser of 30 second cleaner to the cemetery to clean up some of the family headstones that have become mossy over the years.
None of the younger generations have shown any inclination to carry on the work so I suppose that when I'm gone they will just fall into dis-repair.
What's the answer Mands?
