After entering username: admin password:admin Is this the screen you see? You can try this quite safely and if you freak out and don't know where to go, just shut the whole window (Like you would shut any window - cross on very top right of your computer screen) We won't go any further until I know that you can see this screen.

I've been having tea and making ricotta... ;D
Click on the Management icon top right. Then tell me what you see. I'm not quite sure what you will see because I don't have a picture, only words. There should be a menu on the left so just type the different choices...

You haven't changed anything yet so everything is OK... Do you want to try and port forward now? Or would you rather let me do it remotely?

The static IP will still be 192.168.1.2 but I will get you to PM me your other IP once you've ticked the box that lets me in....we'll get to that later.
Have you clicked on the Management icon?

Why does it ask you your IP? It should go straight to another screen when you click the management icon???

This is where I am it won't copy the part for static address.
To setup port forwarding on this router your computer needs to have a static ip address. Take a look at our Static IP Address guide to setup a static ip address. When you are finished setting up a static ip address, please come back to this page and enter the ip address you setup in the Static IP Address box below. Do not skip this step!

Are you reading that from your router? Or are you reading that from the portforward.com instruction page?
Or, more simply, what is written in your address bar at the top?

Ahhhhh, I'm trying to avoid that altogether to make it easier for you... Don't click on that link, but get into your actual router by clicking on http://192.168.1.1 Then put your admin password in and don't do anything until you tell me this is the screen you see? You can try this quite safely and if you freak out and don't know where to go, just shut the whole window (Like you would shut any window - cross on very top right of your computer screen) [/quote]

Right I have done that but do not have that screen.

So I think that might be the problem - your screen doesn't look like my screen.... Your router might be a slightly different version? Shut your router screen (just click the cross as you would shut any window) and then talk to me again so I know you haven't crashed anything...
