Broadcasting is a breeze with this software www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/ubroadcast.htmIP nightlyTo broadcast your webcam to the world, anyone watching needs your IP. It is not recommended that you do that, so get an account with No-IP and they will mask that for you. Instead of an IP, it will show up as a name eg ladeda.no-ip.info. The software you need is No-IP DUC v2.2.1 and have it running at start-up www.no-ip.com/downloads.php?page=winAny port in a stormThe other thing you need is a port to forward the webcam data to. The recommended one is 8080 and that has worked well for me until I went wireless and had port forwarding issues, so now I use port 45682. Port 80 has also worked for me as it is mostly open. Port forwarding is only a hassle if you have your computer connected to a router. If it is connected via a modem only, then you don’t have to port forward. FirewallMake sure your firewall allows exceptions and allow port 8080 (or whatever port you choose). U-Broadcast settingsI can’t see the settings unless I connect the webcam so ask me to do that if you get stuck… The video should be un-filtered. Under Device, the WMP works on Lan connections 26-130kb/sec (working on memory here, but it is the third choice down) Try it and see!Remember to activate the webcam by starting QuickCapture (Logitech cameras). Doesn’t need to stay on, once you see a picture you can close Quickcam software. Put up a thread and ask anyone out there if they can see your lounge/backyard/pretty face or whatever. D.I.YOpen your own WMP, and put this in your Open URL box: http://127.0.0.1:8080

Which port should I choose as I have a router due to being on BB??

Not everyone on BB has a router. If you only have one computer connected, then it is probably an ADSL Modem. What's the model # ?
* I only have a router because Telecom sent it to me by mistake (I'm not even with Xtra) so I thought I would use it when I connected to BB.

Looks like it might be a router... Go to command prompt START, ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, Command Prompttype in ipconfig /allenter Look down the list to see what your IP is (mine is 10.1.1.5, which is the IP of my router) Now go to Portforward.com www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dynalink/RTA1320/WebcamXP.htmand enter that IP into the box that says [Enter Static IP here] Now get to your router admin and enter exactly what it says on the website. By entering your IP into the box, it automatically changes all the settings on the page so you can follow them exactly!

Use Port 8080 as recommended...
PS the portforward I linked you to want to forward 2 ports, 8080 & 8090. You only need to forward 8080! And instead of naming it WebcamXP1, you could name it UBroadcast (the name doeasn't affect the settings.)

Sorry, Meandog, it turns into a mission when you need to portforward... You can still download U-broadcast and make sure that's working before trying to broadcast it over the internet! Just watch it on your own WMP using the D.I.Y. instructions in post #1. We'll get to the portforwarding later!

I'm a real dummy at this all the different terms get me in a tizz wazz. LMAO. Well I have found it again, but have not got a clue which figures to look for none look anything like yours that you have.

You do two things now.... In one window, open the admin screen for your router. In your case put this into your address bar http://192.168.1.1 In another windwow open Portforward.com www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dynalink/RTA1320/WebcamXP.htmand enter type 192.168.1.2 into the box that says [Enter Static IP here] Now in your router admin, enter exactly what it says on the website. By entering your IP into the box, it automatically changes all the settings on the page so you can follow them exactly! Use Port 8080 as recommended... PS the portforward I linked you to wants to forward 2 ports, 8080 & 8090. You only need to forward 8080! And instead of naming it WebcamXP1, you could name it UBroadcast (the name doeasn't affect the settings.) When you have changed the settings in your router admin, then you have successfully port forwarded port 8080 to your IP 192.168.1.2.
